MORINGA: A SOLUTION TO IRON DEFICIENCY

Iron deficiency or anemia is very common among people, in particular women. The reasons behind it can be manifold. In most cases the main reason for Iron deficiency is a poor diet.

Most iron-rich nutritional sources are animalistic, such as meat and liver. Usually the content and bioavailability of iron from plant sources is lower. For this reason Vegans and Vegetarians are at particular risk of anemia.

Studies have shown that Moringa leaf powder has an exceptionally high iron content. 100g (3.5oz) of beef liver contains about 10 mg iron, pork liver about 10-20 mg. Moringa leaf powder contains an astonishing 28 mg of iron per 100g! This high iron content is even higher than the iron content of any animalistic source. This is very unusual for plants.

At the quality of our Moringa products is regularly monitored in accredited laboratories. These studies found out that powder from African sources have an iron content of 43 mg per 100g. This is even 50% higher than usual Moringa leaf powder! This came as a very pleasant surprise.

It is known that the bioavailability of iron is increased in the presence of Vitamin C, Vitamin A and carotenoids, as well as reducing (antioxidizing) agents. Moringa leaves contain all of these compounds in high quantities.

Moringa could be the remedy for iron deficiency in a natural way!

PROTEIN

We know that Moringa leaves are not only rich in protein (28g / 100g dry powder), but that this protein source is also of high value to the human body. It contains all essential amino acids including those containing Sulphur (Cystein & Methionine).

Moringa protein has a far higher value than any other plant protein. A comparison with whey protein – used by bodybuilders and other people who work out on a high level – shows that Moringa can easily compete with high-value animal protein. Particularly impressive is Moringa’s high content of branched chained amino acids (BCAA), which are rarely found in plant proteins and are required for muscle growth during exercise.

Moringa leaf-powder is an ideal protein supplement for vegetarians, vegans and people who regularly work out.

VITAMINS & MINERALS

Our main nutrients are proteins, carbohydrates and fats, but our body also needs little helpers to support our metabolism and prevent sicknesses. These are vitamins and minerals. The hectic pace of our daily lives sometimes does not allow us to eat in a conscious way that provides us with sufficient vitamins and minerals. We therefore rely on supplements.

Moringa leaf powder is a natural supplement that has been known for ages and used for its benefits. This is despite the fact that most westerners have never heard of Moringa. In Southern India it is said that no meal is complete without Moringa.

Moringa leaf powder is very rich in vitamins and minerals:

Rich Source of Vitamins B1, B2, B3, C and E.

Rich Source of natural plant calcium, magnesium, potassium, sulphur, copper and iron.

ANTIOXIDANTS

A German phrase says that we need Luft und Liebe – love and air. Without oxygen we cannot survive. At the same time we know that oxygen is a highly reactive agent, scientifically speaking: It forms radicals.

These radicals are molecules that have the potential of damaging parts of the cell, including our DNA. As scientific evidence suggests these radicals are responsible for ageing, as well as cancer.

Antioxidants are molecules that prevent the oxidation of other molecules, protecting our bodies from the damaging effects of radicals. Antioxidants help slowing down the ageing process.

Moringa leaf powder contains a wide range of antioxidants. In fact, there is no other known food source that contains more. That’s higher than baobab, pomegranate and the highly acclaimed acai berry! Moringa is your key to long-lasting youthful skin!
